Best Gluten-Free Food in Portland
Butterfly Belly Asian Cuisine
This place has so many great gluten-free options it’s almost unbelievable. We stopped for the pho, a dish that is difficult to find with a gluten-free guarantee, and we were blown away by all of the other options Butterfly Belly has to offer. All of their sauces are made in-house to avoid gluten and are very good. It’s so comforting to find a 100 percent gluten-free Asian restaurant, it’s hard to walk away without eating way too much.
Cubo
Cuban food is my favorite kind of food in the world, and it can be extremely difficult to find gluten-free. It is the only restaurant on this list that isn’t 100 percent gluten-free, bet we felt it deserved a spot because of how unique it is. Cubo absolutely nails every dish. Their Cuban sandwich is to die for, and they even have gluten-free empanadas.
Shilling Cider House
Come for the 30 plus ciders on tap at shilling cider, and stay for the scrumptious food made in an entirely gluten-free kitchen. The menu is familiar bar food, but you can actually eat it! Try the fully loaded tots and the corn dog.
Groundbreaker Brewing
Walking into Groundbreaker Brewing on a rainy Portland day is like walking into a big hug. Their cozy tasting room is full of the funnel cake smell coming from the kitchen. Honey Butter Country Fare is providing the grub in a 100 percent gluten-free kitchen. Be prepared to take a break from your diet and just enjoy some of your favorite foods from childhood, with great beer by Groundbreaker.
