Carb Load at the Best Bakeries in Seattle
Flying Apron
Really all that you need to know about Flying Apron is that they make delicious beignets. They sell lots of other yummy stuff but I’ve never been able to try it because I eat too many beignets every time I walk in the door. Please do yourself a favor and top by Flying Apron on a beignet day.
Nuflours
Head over to Capitol Hill for nuflours bakery. They have a wide selection of typical baked goodies as well as coffee. They have new things baked fresh every day so you’ll never get bored of the selection, which is great when you have limited options as a gluten-free person. You can also order their brownies on Amazon!
Wildflour
We find artisan bread to be one of the things we miss the most. There aren’t many companies offering gluten-free baguettes or sourdough loaves, and many of them don’t taste very good. Wildflour has some of the best-tasting gluten-free artisan bread that we’ve had, especially the baguettes. Wildflour has a variety of other delsicoius bakery staples to keep you stocked up.
Honorable Mention - Raised Doughnuts
Raised Doughnuts is the only place on this list that is not completely gluten-free. They only have one gluten-free item on the menu, but it’s very good! Their mochi doughnuts are absolutely to die for. The mochi doughnuts have a very similar consistency to the fresh-baked Krispy Kreme doughnuts, and to find something like that that is gluten-free is amazing. They also come in some very interesting flavors, such as the Furikake below. Unfortunately, since they only offer this one gluten-free item, they can’t dedicate their whole kitchen to being contamination-free, so eat at your own risk.
